| The Old: All songs come from The Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond. The 20 songs feature the same piano and vocal arrangements as the original sheet music. There are 30-some sheet-music covers from the same collection. These graphically illustrate the patriotic threads of “The Country, The Flag and The Heroes.” Of course the book includes “Dixie” and the “Bonnie Blue Flag,” but most of the other songs probably have not been sung for over 100 years. The New: All of the songs have been re-entered into modern music-publishing software, so the words and music are printed together in crisp easy-to-read copy.
