It is divided into three sections beginning with Family Histories, which cites American and international single and multifamily genealogies. Each genealogy is listed alphabetically by the major surnames included in each book. The Guides and Handbooks section is subdivided into two parts and contains reference and how-to books for researching specific record groups or areas of this country or the world. Genealogical Sources by State includes data on cemetery, census, military, and other useful records.
