| Covering 137 Connecticut towns and comprising 14,333 typed pages, the Barbour Collection of Connecticut birth, marriage, and death records to about 1850 was the life work of Lucius Barnes Barbour, Connecticut Examiner of Public Records from 1911 to 1934. The present series, by editor Lorraine Cook White, is a town-by-town transcription of the collection. Entries are listed alphabetically by town, and give name, date of event, names of parents, names of children, names of spouses, and sometimes such items as age, occupation, and place of residence. Most volumes are from 20,000 to 45,000 names. - United States - Connecticut - Middlesex |
